Article from the Surrey Now newspaper, Nov,13th/04

NOTE from the GVCCC; We, the Greater Vancouver Car Club Council, in our first year, couldn't be more pleased with the results for Kruise For Kids- 2004.
We want to thank all the sponsors and participants who helped make our debut a joyous one, (aside from the weather)
, we
had over 120 specialty vehicles in attendance, and over 300 people ! The good folks from the Canadian Falcon/Fairlane/Comet Club once again volunteered to
take care of the registration tables and they won Best Club Turnout, with the BC
Oldsmobile Club in 2nd and the BC Corvette Club tied with the MG/JAG Club for
3rd. Best Dressed Driver went to Bill Hansen, dressed as Santa, Best Decorated
Car went to James Smith who had the interior of his 90's Impala decorated better
than most living rooms! LOL. Best Club Display (most decorated cars) went to Acrophobiacs Custom Car Club.
Chris Bayliss-Executive Officer for the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau was once again on hand and happily accepted over $7500.oo!! in donations that came from local car clubs, business's and individual's. The toy count is coming ! Chris Bayliss and the GVCCC executive, also presented Richardt Scholz-founder of Kruise For Kids, 2 special awards to honor his 20+ years of dedication to Kruise For Kids. The raffle draw was a great success due to the quantity and quality of the raffle prizes , a huge thanx to our product sponsors! And we were done by 1pm !. So once again thank you to all, and hope to see you in 2005, November-6th !
Gratefully Yours; The GVCCC-Rick, Rhonda+ Doug G, Carol+Doug C, Pete and Rich
